The plant is designed for Pharmaceutical and medical applications. Universal ISO-MED, our Gamma Irradiation plant, is the first of its kind in Gujarat. Beyond catering to our in-house needs, we provide contractual irradiation services for industrial products, pharmaceuticals, healthcare products, medical devices, and components. Additionally, we specialize in the decontamination and disinfestation of food and allied products.
- As powerful gamma roys penetrate right through the package and the product, products of any shape can be sterilized
- it is a room temperature, non-additive process; hence, heat sensitive plastic medical devices and pharmaceutical products can be safety sterilized
- Products can be sterilized in final shipping packaging
- Flexibility in packaging, as the products can be packed individiually in sealed bags and sterilized in the fully packed form
- Since sterilication is effected after final packaging, product sterility is retaind indefinitely, provided the package is intact
- Irradiation Sterilization enlarges the market for reafy to use pre - packages products
- it is a highly eco-friendly process and does not leave harmful residues
- The process is safe for workers as control of a single parameter is required
- No aseptic handling is required since sterilization is performed on the final packing of the product
